The Lew Muckle Elementary School celebrated VI History Month with a cultural program featuring steel pan, quadrille and story telling on Friday, April 5, 2019 on the school's ground. The program lasted over an hour and was hosted by former Deputy Superintendent Faith George-Boone.
The program featured performances by the Lew Muckle Steel Pan Orchestra, Claude O. Markoe Quadrille dancers, Lew Muckle Cultural Dancers, storytelling by Assistant Principal Dr. Sharon Charles and the Lew Muckle Quadrille Dancers. The program concluded with a brief Smarter Balanced Prep Rally where students from grades 3- 6 recited a chant created to prepare students for the upcoming Smarter Balanced Test.
